Scope of Services:
MURAL PROJECT RESIDENCIES (Long-term engagement leading students or communities through the entire mural painting process including: teambuilding, conceptual design process, transfer enlargement, painting techniques and execution of permanent mural)
Minimum hourly engagement- 12 hours **
INTERACTIVE MURAL EVENTS (Interactive painting on the MobileMuralLab truck or portable panels) Minimum hourly engagement- 3 hours **
MURAL PAINTING WORKSHOPS (Hands-on instruction that leads students into the discovery and refinement of traditional and contemporary mural painting techniques)
Minimum hourly engagement- 3 hours **
TEMPORARY/PORTABLE MURALS (Painting on alternative surfaces that are later installed on a wall, painting on the MobileMuralLab truck or painting on a wall that is intended to be removed or painted over) Minimum hourly engagement- 3 hours **
PERMANENT MURALS (Painting directly on a wall)
Minimum hourly engagement- 8 hours
MURAL DESIGN WORKSHOPS (Classroom style, hands-on instruction that leads students into an effective process, based on the principles and elements of design)
Minimum hourly engagement- 3 hours
CUSTOM MURAL DESIGNS
(Digital and hand made mural drawings designed to scale)
Minimum hourly engagement- 3 hours
TRANSFER ENLARGEMENTS (Transfer any image to a larger wall surface or panel)
Minimum hourly engagement- 3 hours
CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT (Development of custom K-12 art curriculum that synthesizes art history concepts, data collection/assessment, and the principles and elements of design, or any other relevant academic subject,) Minimum hourly engagement- 3 hours
LECTURES (Lectures based on the Co-Directors’ experience and knowledge of civic engagement, youth arts education, politics of public space and the legalities of the Los Angeles mural ordinance) Minimum hourly engagement- 1 hour **
CONSULTATIONS (Topics include: The “How To” of, producing your own mural, curriculum development, effective mural design, successful public space transformation and data collection) Minimum hourly engagement- 1 hour **
INSTALLATION (Install and attach portable murals onto vertical wall surfaces)
Minimum hourly engagement – 2 hours
**Optional use of the MobileMuralLab’s interior, featuring a learning/ exhibition laboratory equipped with 2x TV/ DVD, 18” x 22” poster rack, display case and wall space.
